TAX EVASION: Javier Mascherano Sentenced to Jail!

Javier Mascherano has been sentenced to a year in prison but is unlikely to ever serve time in jail, after a verdict was reached in his tax evasion case.
The Argentine has been fined €815,000 and handed a year's sentence for two counts of fiscal crimes committed in 2011 and 2012.
Mascherano has previously admitted to the offences, repaid the money owed and paid a hefty fine as recompense.
After such compliance with the investigation, the court is expected to grant the wish of Mascherano and his lawyer, David Aineto, in suspending the custodial sentence in exchange for a further fine.

Real Madrid And Carlo Ancelotti Part Ways

Real Madrid may sack me - Ancelotti
Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has admitted that his future may lie away from the Santiago Bernabeu, after the club was dumped out of the Champions League.
The European champions could only draw 1-1 at home against Juventus, after losing 2-1 in the first leg.
Madrid failed to take full advantage of their superior possession and missed several opportunities, but Ancelotti insists he is satisfied with how his team played.

LA LIGA TITLE: Barcelona And Real Madrid Win Because No Competition - Jose Mourinho (See My Opinion Below)

Image result for jose mourinho
Jose Mourinho has insisted that Real Madrid and Barcelona can stroll to the Spanish league title by only trying in "four or five matches".
The Chelsea manager won one Liga title and a Copa del Rey in his three years in charge of Madrid, during which time he took the side to the Champions League semi-finals three times in a row.
Mourinho, though, insists it is too easy to win La Liga for the top two teams in Spain, adding that they might not be able to dominate the English Premier League in the way they do their own top flight.
"I was in Spain, but I didn’t enjoy it,” he told talkSPORT.
“I won a title with a record in Spain with 100 points and 121 goals, but we only played three or four matches all season.
“I lost a title with 92 points, but again we played only four or five matches in the season.
“You feel the pressure that you have to win every match because if you don’t you will not be champions. But it is a big, big gap between the giants and the others.
“In matches in other countries you can win matches when you are resting. In Spain and in Italy, I won lots of matches resting. Games in which you can think about the European game coming up and where you can rest players.

Bayern Vs Barca: It Is Not Over Yet - Muller

Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller believes his side can make a statement to the world of football by overcoming Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola's side's chances of reaching the Champions League final are remote after they lost 3-0 in the first leg of the last-four tie at Camp Nou.
However, Muller is eyeing an ambitious second-leg comeback in Tuesday's return game at the Allianz Arena, which he believes would shock the rest of Europe.
"I am netiher very euphoric nor very pessimistic," he said at a press conference.
"We need to take our chances. Everyone knows that things were better before. We will have a plan.
"That first leg was a huge disappointment. But since we left Camp Nou we've wanted to make up for it. If we go through, it will be a statement for the world of football. This is the plan and it's not stupid.
"In football, many things are possible. That's why there's still hope and we still believe in ourselves. We can't expect things to go like against Porto. But that's what we need.

BAYERN MUNICH CL 3-0 THRASHING: Messi Too Good - Pep Guardiola

Image result for messi scores brace against bayern munich

Pep Guardiola cannot complain. He had Lionel Messi's magic for four formidable seasons at Barcelona.

On Wednesday night, the Catalan coach was on the receiving end of the Argentine's astonishing abilities for the first time. The monster he helped create chewed up his best-laid plans.

But he won't have been surprised. In the build-up to this tie, Guardiola said: "When he plays like this, there is no defence that can stop him. It's impossible. He is used to players defending against him any way they can and he always ends up enjoying success. He is too good."

He could very well say the same after the game. As usual, Messi was too good. At this level, games are decided by the very best - and Messi is just that. "There is no more player complete than Leo," Guardiola once said. "He is the best at everything."

During his time at Camp Nou, Pep always admitted his side would be a shadow of themselves without the Argentine among their ranks. "We would be a very good team and we would be competitive," he stressed. "But we wouldn't have won all that we have."

CL: Juve Stuns Real Madrid With 2-1 Home Victory

After a 12-year absence, Juventus returned to the final four of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, topping Real Madrid in Turin, 2-1, in the first leg of a mouthwatering semi-final clash.
Their lack of pedigree in recent years meant the Bianconeri were understandably viewed as the outsiders among the teams left in the draw.
Indeed, this was only the club’s third season back in the elite competition since Andrea Agnelli took control of Juventus. Bayern Munich dealt them a lesson in the 2012 quarter-finals before Juventus crashed out in the group stage last term.

Dangote Rekindles Interest In Buying Arsenal

Emirates Stadium

Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote tried and failed to acquire a stake in 2010 but claims he has a "strategy" for investing in the Gunners.

Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, has said he still wants to buy Arsenal despite failing in a 2010 bid to acquire a stake in the club.
The Nigerian billionaire is now worth nearly eight times as much as when he tried to buy into the Gunners, and the passionate Gooners has not given up on his dream of getting involved with the north London club.
“I still hope, one day at the right price, that I’ll buy the team,” Dangote, 58, told Bloomberg.
“I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won’t want to resist," he continued, before ominously adding, "I know my strategy.

Messi, Suarez & Neymar Form Could Give Guardiola A Headache

It was a masterclass of attacking football. Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez scored five between them - all stunning - and made it 102 goals for the season for Barcelona's famed forward line.

Pep Guardiola wasn't watching. The Bayern Munich boss was taking charge of his side's German Klassiker clash against Borussia Dortmund, but he will no doubt catch the action later on. And when he does, he is likely to be a worried man, particularly after his winger Arjen Robben suffered an injury on his comeback.

Guardiola coached the greatest Barca team in history, the wonderful side that wowed the world between 2008 and 2012, winning 14 out of 19 trophies and playing some of the finest football ever seen. But he never had a forward line like this one.

Messi opened the scoring against Getafe with his first-ever Panenka penalty, dinking the ball down the middle with a cheeky chip. The Argentine attacker then centred for Suarez to volley home in spectacular style, before both combined for Neymar - who cut the ball back beautifully - to net the third.

CL: Suarez's Brace Gives Barca 'Huge' Advantage In Return Leg

Suarez celebrating one of his goals against PSG at Parc des Princes
Lionel Messi will have to wait for his 400th Barcelona goal. The Argentine attacker failed to net as Luis Enrique's side stormed into a commanding lead in their quarter-final tie in Paris on Wednesday night but he won't care because, refreshingly, it was his two team-mates who took care of the scoring this time.

Barca have so often relied upon Messi in recent years - especially in the big games and particularly in Europe. But at the Parc des Princes in their first-leg game against Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar and Luis Suarez showed they are ready to provide a helping hand with important goals too when it matters most.

Neymar perhaps had a point to prove after he was surprisingly substituted by Barca boss Luis Enrique in the weekend draw at Sevilla, when he had been the best player on the pitch. And he proved that point by scoring the first following a lovely lay-off from Messi, later earning generous applause from his coach as he produced a remarkable run which almost resulted in a second. Looking tired up until his recent rest due to suspension, Neymar has returned a different player.

Messi Is World's Highest Football Earner

Lionel Messi is the world's best paid footballer taking home nearly £10 million more than Cristiano Ronaldo did last year and over £20 million more than Neymar.

Emenike Tears Jersey, Leaves Pitch in Anger

Emenike
FenerbahƧe forward Emmanuel Emenike faces disciplinary action in the Turkish league following his indecent reaction in the derby against Beşiktaş at the ÅžĆ¼krü Saracoğlu Stadium on Sunday.
The Nigeria international tore off his shirt in anger and ran off the pitch, demanding to be substituted in the first half, after his fans booed him for missing a ‘simple’ chance to put the hosts ahead.
It took the intervention of FenerbahƧe manager Ismail Kartal and his technical staff to stop Emenike from walking down the tunnel. Kartal eventually managed to convince him to put his shirt back on and return to the game.
A former referee in Turkey Ahmet Ƈakar said Emenike deserved punishment for leaving the pitch and re-entering without permission. He said it was a technical error not to have booked the player, and that the action could mean a replay of the derby.

CL: MASSACRE AT ALLIANZ ARENA AS BAYERN MUNICH BEAT SHAKTAR 7-0

Thomas Muller
Thomas Muller has 26 Champions League goals, the joint-highest total of any German player
Thomas Muller's penalty opener came after Olexandr Kucher received the quickest red card in competition history for a third-minute foul.
Jerome Boateng and Franck Ribery scored either side of half-time, after a first leg which ended goalless.
Muller, Holger Badstuber, Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski added goals.
Bayern equalled their biggest Champions League win as they reached their eighth quarter-final in 11 seasons - and it was never in doubt after Kucher's early dismissal.
The only time the Germans have been eliminated from a European competition after drawing the first leg away 0-0 was in 1981.

CL: GALLANT 10-MAN PSG SENDS CHELSEA PACKING

Chelsea
PSG came from behind twice to take revenge for last season's quarter-final exit at the hands of Chelsea - showing great character to play for the last hour of normal time and the added 30 minutes without talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he had been sent off for a foul on Oscar.
In an ugly eyesore of a match punctuated by fouls and contentious incidents, Gary Cahill's late goal looked to be sending Chelsea through until their former defender David Luiz thumped home a header to send this last-16 tie into extra time.
Once more Chelsea went ahead through Eden Hazard's penalty following Thiago Silva's handball but PSG's Brazilian defender made amends perfectly with another superb header six minutes from time to give coach Laurent Blanc's side the progression they deserved.

COPA DEL REY: Neymar And Suarez's Goals Send Barcelona To Final

Neymar: The Brazilian has scored 26 goals this season.
Barcelona's Neymar scored twice and Luis Suarez was also on target as they beat Villarreal 3-1 on Wednesday and 6-2 on aggregate to reach their fourth King's Cup final in five years where they will face Athletic Bilbao. Bilbao won 2-0 at Espanyol on Wednesday and 3-1 on aggregate, Aritz Aduriz and Xabier Etxeita scoring in the first half for Athletic to set up a repeat of the 2012 cup final which Barca won. It will Be Barca's first final with Luis Enrique at the helm but the coach is not getting carried away. "It is very good but we now need to concentrate on other things. We are happy obviously," Luis Enrique told reporters. "We didn't want an end-to-end game but one where we had control. We wanted to be able to control it without any difficult moments. "They (Villarreal) had two or three chances in the first half and then we had more control after that. We wanted to win the game but by always being under control."

Greece Suspends All Its Football Leagues Indefinitely

It is the third time this season that professional football in Greece has been shut down
Matches in Greece's professional football leagues have been suspended indefinitely in a crackdown on violence, the Super League said.
The move follows a pitch invasion at the end of the Athens derby last weekend and a Super League board meeting which ended in a brawl on Tuesday, with Greece's recently elected Syriza ruling party aiming to stamp out the problem of crowd violence.
"What we have been informed is that the Super League and the Football League have been suspended indefinitely," Super League president Giorgos Borovilos told reporters.
