Kallamu-Musa-Dikwa
The Borno State-born pastor, Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, who affirmed the allegation that President Goodluck Jonathan gave the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, N7 billion to support his re-election bid, has cried out over threats to his life by operatives of the Directorate of State Service (DSS).
While insisting that the Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor-led CAN collected the said amount, Dikwa said the DSS had forced him to sign a document which they would use against him to prove to the entire world that “the President (Jonathan) did not bribe CAN to work against the presidential candidate of APC”, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.)
Dikwa said the DSS planned to use the ‘document’, which he was made to sign under duress in some national dailies to portray him as telling lies against the body of Christ.
“They forced me to sign and promise to link me up with the CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, for us to ‘settle’,” he said

A British archaeologist has identified what he believes could have been the house where Jesus was raised. Dr Ken Dark said that the humble first century home in Nazareth, northern Israel, could have been where Mary and Joseph brought up the son of God. The Reading University archaeologist said that an ancient text described precisely how it was located between two tombs and below a church. Clerics from the Crusader period and the Byzantine era also put the ruins in the cellar of their churches, suggesting that it was of great significance and needed to be protected. In an article Professor Dark said that there was ‘no good reason’ why the courtyard style house was not the boyhood home of Jesus.

As the world continues to groan under the heavy yoke of insurgency with no respite seemingly in sight, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has predicted that the phenomenon will be weakened world over in the New Year.
The revered man of God, in his prophecies listed under four categories of Individuals, International, RCCG and Nigeria, has also predicted that the dreaded Ebola Virus Disease, which has killed over 7,000 people so far, will finally die.

Adeboye made these predictions at the crossover service held at the Redemption Camp, Kilometre 46, Lagos - Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, to usher in year 2015.

Reeling out the New Year predictions at about 1:15 a. m. before a mammoth crowd that gathered at the Arena Ground of the camp, the septuagenarian cleric, whose predictions hardly go unfulfilled, said God said the world should pray against "massive calamities, massive earthquakes and strong hurricanes and typhoons."

The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams F. Kumuyi, has charged members of the church to register and collect their voter cards to enable them vote for a credible government in 2015 general elections. He also stressed the need for Nigerians to shun ethno-religious sentiments while making the choice of leaders in the forthcoming polls.

He said, “I declare that all members of deeper life should go and get their voter cards so that we will vote for a credible government. Whoever is voted, if he is not doing the right thing, then we will have the right to complain.
“If we must vote for the right kind of people, we must exercise our right to vote”.
The well-respected pastor advised Nigerians to look at the past record of politicians and the manifesto of their parties in choosing their leaders in 2015.

Pastor Drops Dead On Pulpit After Singing Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ Song

Pastor Gordon A. Humphrey of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago dropped dead in the pulpit after singing the well-loved song, Happy by Pharrell Williams. Paramedics were called as church members that are in the medical field tried to revive their 60-year-old pastor. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. Pastor Humphrey had three churches under his wing at his time of death; two in California and one in Chicago. Humphrey’s mentee, Pastor Greg Hunter, said his pastor died doing what he loved. This is where the church is putting the emphasis surrounding his untimely passing. He enjoyed preaching and singing and always gave his all when doing so. Hunter added: He brought all people together. For years he walked the streets and met with drug addicts and gangbangers that had been enemies and made them begin to love.

Mum Thanks Honda, Not God for Son's Survival in Auto Crash

Lynn Beisner's son was driving last week when a semi-trailer wheel landed on his hood and shattered every window in the car. Amazingly, the Honda vehicle "formed a cocoon for his body" and he didn't have "a scratch on him," she writes in the Washington Post. So whom did she thank on Facebook in a grateful letter? Well, Honda engineers who created "a car that safe," and executives "who did not scrimp on safety. Thank you, Honda." But her closing line annoyed some commenters who thought she should be thanking another, higher, entity. As one put it, "I am thankful that God held your son in His embrace and I am curious why you thanked Honda rather than Him." Yet Beisner says she has her reasons.

IMPOSITION: Crises rocks CAN Election In Lagos

The Lagos State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is currently enmeshed in crisis over attempts to impose some candidates for the election of new executive.

Sources close to the Christian body said that the national body of CAN was manipulating the electoral system of the body to disenfranchise some candidates to favour others.
The sources further said that all the members of the outgoing executive were disallowed to contest any other offices in violation of the CAN electoral rules and thus precipitating crisis.
The outgoing executive is headed by Monsignor Bernard Okodua who is no longer contesting for any post but other officers eyeing elective positions are have been stopped from contesting any other posts.
This development has however angered members of some of the five blocs that make up CAN.

A Firm Stance - Letter to Satan

I stumbled across this online and I thought you should have a feel of the emotions of this anonymous Christian writer.

1999
Source Unknown

Hey Satan,
You really shook me up last night! Having someone go into a Youth Rally and shoot people, that seemed cruel even for you! You almost had me discouraged and disheartened. Almost. Then I started to realize what was really going on.
My main question was why are you attacking Christian Youth? Then it hit me, fear. You realize that these are the people that will turn the tide of your "battle". You are so afraid because these youth aren't afraid of your conventional weapons. Peer pressure, drugs, sex, greed are all failing as these kids are standing up and saying "NO! I choose to honor God with my behavior." You tried cranking up the heat, making the culture more enticing to them, and they still say "NO!"
